RANDY HULL

Randy retired from the position of Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the City of Winnipeg, after 16 years. Randy was a member of the Emergency Public Information Team for 27 years, coordinating all public information for the City of Winnipeg during the “Flood of the Century” in 1997. Randy had a full career with the City of Winnipeg, spanning 38 years. Randy started with the city in 1977, in the Parks and Recreation Department providing recreation programming for all ages, in 1988 Randy moved to Winnipeg Hydro as Public Relations Manager, then he concluded his career in emergency management.

Randy has Bachelor of Physical Education, with a major in Recreation Studies, from the University of Manitoba.  He has completed all the courses offered by the Canadian Emergency Management College, and those coordinated by Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization (MEMO).  He had been recruited to teach at the Canadian Emergency Management College in Ottawa as EOC Course Officer/Leader and Public Information instructor until its closure February 2012. Randy has instructed over 1400 people in basic emergency management, EOC operations, Site management and advanced media relations.

Randy is a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers; Licensed Media Relations specialist; and a National level Volleyball Official with Volleyball Canada.
