Building Community Relationships Pre-Event

Disasters affect everyone, whether you’re a single parent in a rural community, a store owner in a suburban strip mall or a public sector emergency management professional. Our communities include the government, corporations, not for profit service organizations and the residents. Strong relationships, created before disasters, leads to better post event outcomes. This discussion will be the steps to bring your neighbours to the table, to create friendships and working relationships that will help everyone when disaster strikes. All the resources you likely require to respond to your emergency are in your community. We speak to how to bring everyone together, before disasters happen.
